We encourage everyone to begin by keeping a diary for two weeks of how every moment is spent 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At the end of two weeks, add up the time for each activity. Then see where you could make changes.

Or you may simply have big time wasters that distract you from what’s important, and you need to learn how not to stray into those areas.
Relax. There’s a simpler, more effective way. Learn to be a 2,000 percent solver. This easy-to-learn method can be applied to every area of your life. You learn one process that you can apply to do anything. Sound good?

7.Identify the right people and provide the right motivation. The shepherd could look around to see if any sheep raisers have been doing this kind of breeding already so that she could buy their stock.

Recent events bias our perception of risk, because they are more available to our intuition than counter examples. The anchoring bias predisposes us to make inferences based on some earlier information we had – even if that information has little or no relevance. Whatever you dwell upon you bring into your reality. If you spend your time thinking that the world is against you, the feelings which you experience will reflect this thought pattern. And your reality is simply what you feel it is.
But the world is not like a traffic light in that it will not just change color as you stand and watch,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; the world will only change for you as your perspective alters.
You and I may be standing at the traffic lights. You can see that the light is on green, whilst I see that it is on red. The only difference is the perspective from which we are viewing the lights. We are both correct; we do both see what we think we are seeing.

The presumption implicit in most attempts to change behavior is: Information (I) + Motivation (M) = Change. This makes perfect sense to most people who are trying to producer change, whether they are psychotherapists, training professionals, parents, or committed individuals. Now that you know that your beliefs determine your life, you are where I was in January 1985: excited to have found the explanation for my inability to change my behavior and feelings—yet not knowing how to get rid of my limiting beliefs.
And then I found a way to eliminate those beliefs—quickly, easily, and permanently. And my life was changed forever. And now you can eliminate your limiting beliefs and change your life forever too.
Obviously not, since the formula of I + M = C doesn’t seem work a lot of the time. If it did, everyone would wear seat belts, which they don’t. Everyone would keep New Year’s resolutions, instead of letting them go after a couple of weeks. People suffering from cardiovascular disease would adopt low-fat, low-cholesterol diets. Corporate training programs would be far more effective in changing worker behavior.
But months go by and nothing improves despite your best efforts. You are still withholding some of your thoughts and feelings. You still feel your partner is at fault for most of your difficulties. Etc,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
I + M = Change Is Supposed To Work
So if the personal growth material you’ve tried hasn’t produced lasting change, you now know why. You were informed and motivated, but you never eliminated the beliefs that necessitate the existing behavior you want to change.
How many times have you attended a personal growth workshop, or listened to a self-help audio course, or viewed a set of DVDs designed to change your life? Given the type of people who usually read my blog, probably most of you.
And how many times did you get a high when you completed the program … that dissipated shortly, leaving you almost where you were before you started? Based on what many of you have told me, an awful lot of you.
Maybe because the formula of I + M = C never deals with beliefs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so lasting change isn’t possible. I + M = C isn’t enough to change emotional and behavioral patterns because the beliefs that cause them haven’t been eliminated.
Why don’t these courses that usually offer such valuable information produce lasting change? Based on everything we know about change, they should.
But what if our assumption about what produces change is wrong?
But be honest! After you’ve done all this, plus all the other variations you’ve discovered, does the behavior pattern really change? Let’s take a simple example. Say you’re a procrastinator. You always leave work projects until the last minute. As a result, you’re anxious much of the time and sometimes you turn projects in late, which subjects you to the disapproval of your boss. In fact, he tells you, “I’d like to consider you for a promotion and a raise, but I can’t as long as you continue to deliver projects late.”
Let’s look at another example of how I + M = C is ineffective in helping people change their behavior and emotions.
Beliefs are nothing more than thoughts we have about reality that we are convinced are “the truth.” They are, for us, accurate statements about reality. Therefore your beliefs mold your behavior, your emotions, and your attitudes.
*You must honestly communicate your thoughts and feelings.
*You must listen from your partner’s point of view.
*You must “get” your partner’s communication, in other words,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], get that what your partner is saying is true for him/her whether or not you happen to agree.
*Focus on what you can do to improve the relationship instead of assuming all the problems are the result of your partner.
Making Plans To Change
You decide you must change and you really want to change,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. So what do you do?
*You prioritize your activities, assuming that it will help you focus on the most important projects.
* You make a schedule that helps you allot time during the month for work on the most important projects.
* You put up reminders in prominent places.
* You create rewards to give yourself when you finish a project—a special dinner or a new item of clothing.
* You ask your friends to support you.
I + M = Change Doesn’t Work Because it Ignores Beliefs
Maybe because you still have the beliefs: It’s dangerous to express my feelings. My feelings aren’t important. No one is interested in what I have to say. Men/women can’t be trusted. Relationships are difficult. And so on,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
So now you’ve gathered all the information and resources you need to get your projects done on time. And you have several strong reasons for doing it: a possible promotion, a raise, your boss’s approval, and an alleviation of your constant anxiety.

Here are practical tools to remind yourself that you are in control of creating a wonderful quality of life regardless of your circumstances.

Being proactive and being clear about your choices will help you live your life fully and exceptionally.
Stephen Covey, in his Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, says the first habit is be proactive. I read that book in 1989 and that principle still resonates with me. Many people live lives of default. They wake up in the morning and life just happens to them. They do not make choices. Instead they spend a lot of time trying to get out of things that happen to them. They invest their time and energy reacting instead of being proactive.
Being clear on who you are will help you be clear about your choices. In my law practice and in my coaching practice, I have discovered that most people are just not aware of the value of their lives.
Use these tools to help you to help you deliberately choose how you want to live and reinvent your life.
This is where affirmations come in. You may not feel as if you have a phenomenal life but you do. With all the scientific breakthroughs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the fact is no one can create life. Life itself is a mysterious. So use affirmations to direct your thoughts and focus on where you want to go.
This is part of what is going on when you hit midlife and your parents die, or your body betrays you and you realize you have spent most of your life trying to attain an elusive goal and you have not spent enough time just enjoying the small things. You realize that you have not spent enough time just being happy and just having a plain old good time.

Psychologist, Barry Schwartz spoke on the Power of Choice at The Technology, Entertainment and Design Conference. Here is how you use affirmations. You want it to be close to what you want. Take the time to discover the hidden desires behind what you want. So for example, if you want a new car, what is the want behind that? You probably want the reliability and dependability of a new car. You are looking forward to the clean car smell and you may even have in mind a high end car that would signify your level of success.
The perfect affirmation for this would be: I enjoy a reliable and dependable new car. Affirm this to yourself all the time. In addition, envision what you want and experience the emotions of what you want now.
